Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 15 July 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service. It explains the kinds of use that are not allowed on Paymarka. It is written for providers, workspace members, clients using a portal, and anyone else who accesses the Service.

Use the Service lawfully and honestly

Use Paymarka only for a real, authorised commercial purpose and in compliance with applicable laws, licences, sanctions, court orders, regulatory requirements, professional rules, and third-party terms. Do not use it to mislead another person about who you are, what you sell, what was agreed, what was delivered, what was paid, or what evidence exists.

Prohibited activity

You must not use Paymarka to:

  • commit, facilitate, disguise, or attempt fraud, theft, money laundering, bribery, corruption, tax evasion, or other unlawful conduct;
  • impersonate a person or organisation, forge a signature, create false payment evidence, backdate a record, or tamper with an audit trail;
  • offer, sell, invoice, or promote goods or services that you are not authorised to provide, or that are illegal, deceptive, unsafe, abusive, or subject to a licence you do not hold;
  • harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, or unlawfully pressure a client, worker, supplier, or other person;
  • send spam or unlawful marketing, or contact a person by email, WhatsApp, SMS, or another channel without the notices, consent, opt-out handling, and other permissions required by law;
  • upload personal data, confidential information, payment-card details, passwords, authentication secrets, or intellectual property without a lawful basis and the right to do so;
  • use AI output, a proposal, contract, invoice, receipt, summary, or other Paymarka output without checking it for accuracy, suitability, and legal compliance;
  • represent Paymarka as a bank, payment processor, escrow provider, legal adviser, accountant, insurer, regulator, or guarantor;
  • try to obtain access to another workspace, account, portal, file, payment record, API, or system without permission;
  • probe, scan, test, overload, disrupt, disable, reverse engineer, scrape, crawl, or bypass security, rate limits, permissions, plan limits, or access controls;
  • upload malware or code intended to damage, surveil, exfiltrate, or interfere with a device, network, account, or service;
  • use Paymarka to build, train, benchmark, or market a competing service, or to copy its content or functionality, except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
  • help another person do any of the things listed above.

Client portals and communications

A provider must send a portal link only to the intended client or an authorised representative, keep client details accurate, use a clear description of the work and amount, and provide the notices and refund or cancellation terms required for the underlying transaction. A provider must not use a portal to collect a payment it is not entitled to receive or to pressure a client into accepting an inaccurate contract or invoice.

If you use WhatsApp, email, or other notifications, you are responsible for recipient consent, message content, frequency, opt-outs, and the accuracy of the destination number or address. Paymarka may stop a message or feature if it receives a complaint, provider restriction, legal request, or abuse signal.

Security reports and enforcement

Report suspected unauthorised access, exposed data, harmful content, fraudulent use, or security vulnerabilities through the contact form. Do not publicly disclose a vulnerability or access another person's data while investigating it.

Paymarka may investigate, remove content, block a message, restrict a portal, limit a feature, suspend an account, preserve evidence, notify an affected party, or cooperate with a provider, regulator, court, or law-enforcement agency when it reasonably believes this Policy or the law has been breached. Paymarka does not promise to monitor all use or detect every violation.
